Internet Casino's UK Charity Shootout Kicks off

GoldenPalace.com launches Charity Shootout UK Tour - First stops hosted by Aston Villa and Crystal Palace

ST. JOHNS, ANTIGUA, NOVEMBER 22, 2004 - Golden Palace Online Casino (www.GoldenPalace.com) hit front pages worldwide in July 2004 by winning an eBay auction for the infamous ball: the ball that David Beckham sent rocketing over the crossbar during England's playoff loss in the Euro 2004 tournament. The winning bid for The Ball was a headline capturing £28,000.00!

With a history of successful charitable initiatives already behind them, GoldenPalace.com announced their latest strategy to use The Ball as a tool to benefit charities worldwide. A tour has been created to provide fund-raising opportunities at various stadiums around the world while also allowing football fans everywhere the opportunity to win £100,000.00 while fulfilling a dream - kicking a penalty shot like a true soccer star in front of thousands of people with millions more watching on television!

Aston Villa will host the very first Charity Shootout Tour Stop during half time of their home game against Liverpool on Saturday 4th December 2004. Crystal Palace will host the first London region Charity Shootout Tour Stop during half time of their home game against Charlton Athletic on Sunday 5th December 2004. The benefiting charity is the NSPCC, with a portion of funds from SMS text entries going to its FULL STOP Appeal, to end cruelty to children.

To enter the contest send a text message with the word GOLDENPALACE to 87121 (for the Aston Villa event) or 87070 (for the Crystal Palace event) or by posting a valid UK address and daytime phone number to GoldenPalace.com Charity Shootout, Host: Aston Villa (or Crystal Palace ), PO Box 71, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, TN1 1XW, United Kingdom. Entries for the Prize draw must be received no later than midnight GMT, November 26, 2004 (for Aston Villa) or November 27, 2004 (for Crystal Palace).

Note that the cost of each SMS text message is £1.50. The Telecom provider will receive a percentage of proceeds to cover telecommunications services. Event sponsor Golden Palace will give 100% of the remaining net proceeds, less any marketing costs associated with the football club. Golden Palace guarantees at least 15 pence from each message will go to the NSPCC Trading Company, which covenants all its profits to the NSPCC Registered Charity number 216401. This competition is open to UK residents over the age of 18.

Three lucky contestants, with one guest each, will be invited to a hospitality day at each FC. The contestants will have the opportunity to display their soccer skills by kicking The Ball through a specific target to win the Grand Prize of £100,000!
